Horse Hiking With Hiromi, February 2, 2003

Beginning the weekend on Friday evening, January 31... Dinner and Escanaba By Da Moonlight...

The following day, Saturday, at the Experience Music Project in the shadow of the Space Needle...

In the hands-on studio we recorded renditions of "Dead Flowers" and "Wild Horses" to CD... Hiromi on percussion, me on guitar, both on vocals... rough, but fun. Hiromi worked out a nice keyboard part in one of the sound booths but unfortunately we were not able to include that in the recording... maybe next time...

Relaxing in the EMP Liquid Lounge...

From the EMP we elevated to the top of the Space Needle. Seattle at night is a beautiful sight to behold!

This shot faces Queen Anne Hill, and from the Space Needle there we did walk....

The shot is from Queen Anne Hill, looking back toward the Space Needle...

Back at the lodge we watched an independent film about Charlotte - "The Closest Thing To Heaven" - featuring (at least in one immortal scene) the incomparable Jake Berger, co-author of "Beware The Cuckold"...

The following morning, Sunday, crossing the 520 Floating Bridge over Lake Washington on my way to pickup Hiromi for horse riding...

Along the way to Peace Arch, north of Seattle...

Peace Arch Equestrian Center in Custer, Washington, just south of the Canadian border...

It was a cool and misty hike, and exhilarating!

Down the I-5 through Bellingham and on down to Seattle...

Juanita Beach in Kirkland... giving Ishi a stretch...
