My Neighborhood, October 15, 2000

  

 

 

My apartment is on the eastside of the Seattle area, in Bellevue. Cross the street and you're in Redmond, and the southern edge of the sprawling Microsoft campus is a couple of blocks north. These environs are about 3 miles east of downtown Bellevue. Bellevue is just to the east of Seattle, the two being separated by Lake Washington. The locals call this section of Bellevue / Redmond "Overlake," after the fact that it is a height of land situated between Lake Washington and Lake Sammamish. The "Crossroads" area is a block to the south.

 

I went out for a walk in the neighborhood this afternoon and here's what I observed...
