East out of Seattle, on the Old Cascade Highway (SR 2), to Stevens Pass...

 

   

 

 

 

I stopped along the Skykomish River... I don't know who this fellow was, but he was proud to have his picture taken with the big salmon he had had just caught...

 

   

 

 

 

Into the high country...

       

 

   

 

 

 

Stevens Pass...  roughly an hour an a half drive from Bellevue / Redmond. The snow started a little late this year but soon it will be 30 feet deep...
