Ai-chan Returns to Japan, June 30, 2010

  

 

Alas, the day of Ai-chan's return to Japan came. That's "return" as in going back to Japan to live. Ai spent 5 years in the Seattle area and ended up with an impressive set of grades at Bellevue College. Since March of 2007... more than 3 years now... Ai-chan has been my best friend. Watching my little buddy leave cut like a knife...

Ai-chan's last drawing on my laptop inside Bigfoot, minutes before the dash over to SeaTac airport. Several days prior Ai-chan googled her trip to Japan and found that 2 segments, from Seattle to Hawaii and then Hawaii to Japan, called for travel by kayak!
