We walked amongst giant Redwood trees...

We stopped at Trees Of Mystery in Redwood National Park where Paul Bunyan and Babe hold forth. There's an extensive and very well done Indian museum inside...

We broke away from Highway 101 at the Klamath River and followed a back road to it's communication with the Pacific along California's Lost Coast...

 

       

 

 

Proceeding on down California 101...

 

 

Eureka, California. The Ingomar Club, formerly the Carson Mansion, and a couple of other Eureka Victorian mansions...

     

 

 

Logging trucks, along with chainsaw carving establishments, are common sights along the Pacific coast...

 

 

We passed scores, if not a hundred, chainsaw carving businesses along the way...

 

       

 

   

 

 

At Leggett, California we cut to the west, leaving Highway 101 for Highway 101. The first 40 miles of Hwy. 1 over the Coast Range was as curvy a stretch of road as I've seen. We rejoined the Pacific at dusk...
