Farewell, Trusty Explorer, May 13, 2004

With my Bigfoot motorhome ordered and scheduled to roll out of the Bigfoot factory up in British Columbia at the end of the month, I sold my Explorer and on the same day bought a bicycle. I reasoned that I would not be needing both a Bigfoot and the Explorer... a Bigfoot with a good bike racked on the rear would do fine...

At my Bellevue lodge... a few last shots of the best vehicle I had heretofore owned...

The lady who had agreed to buy the Explorer lived in the University District, so I drove there to carry out the deal...

Before meeting the buyer I stopped in at Gregg's Greenlake Cycle to purchase a Trek 4900 (that I had decided upon at Gregg's Bellevue Cycle)...

While the bike was being setup I drove into the University District to meet the lady who would buy the Explorer...

When the Explorer transaction concluded, the buyer and her boyfriend dropped me off at Gregg's Greenlake Cycle and there I took possession of the new bike...

I peddled back over to the University District and there hooked the new Trek to the front of a Bellevue bound bus...

Selling the Explorer was a leap toward fully appreciating the largeness of the decision that I had made regarding moving into a Bigfoot...
