Redmond, Washington

 

Approaching the Main Campus via 156th Ave NE, about 3 blocks from my apartment in Bellevue...

 

There's not a main entrance per se, but this comes close...

 

Buildings 1 through 4 form the inner cluster and the rest of the campus sprawls out from there, merging into the surrounding neighborhoods. Well over a hundred buildings...

 

       

 

The ambiance is a cross between business park and college campus...

 

       

 

 

 

A freeway runs through it... the 520, from downtown Redmond to the University District in Seattle...

 

     

 

The Company Store, the Museum, and MS Studios...

 

Lake Sammamish is but a few throws of a stone to the east of the Main Campus...

 

       

 

Downtown Redmond is just to the northeast...

 

       

 

 

 

As I was walking around Redmond I spied a pretty kitty... and for a brief moment she looked so much like my Baby Ralip...

 

The Uwajimaya is on the southern flank and downtown Bellevue is 3 miles to the west. On a clear day, downtown Seattle can be seen to the west, beyond Bellevue, from the Uwajimaya, silhouetted against the Olympic Mountains...
