Day 02 - Wrightsville Beach, NC to Black
Mountain, NC
Monday, March 5, 2007
I spent a pleasant evening camped at the
Johnnie Mercer Pier
at
Wrightsville Beach
and an equally pleasant morning. The Atlantic Ocean was calm as a mill
pond...
Cheerwine is one of the things I miss about North
Carolina...
Winston-Salem... and a nice visit with Christie...
From Winston-Salem I continued
westward toward the Blue Ridge Mountains...
I stopped in Taylorsville to visit with Uncle Fred, Aunt
Lois, and Cousin Danny... and coffee was served. Uncle Fred, my
Father's older brother, can pick "Spanish Fire Bells" like nobody's
business! Uncle Fred said that my new Gibson Dove was a "fine
machine."
From Taylorsville I drove on to Black Mountain where I put
in for the night...
