The Donner Party site... We visited Donner Memorial State Park on Saturday, at the east end of Donner Lake, which is where the Murphy cabin is located. The Donners' winter camp was 5 miles from Donner Lake, at this site...

Reno... Chieko made her flight back to San Jose in the nick of time...

         

 

After dropping Chieko off at the Reno airport I had several hours to kill before my flight back to Seattle, so I drove around town...  ending up on a hill to the east, watching the sun go down...
